Get ready for our 4th Annual Daniela Conte Foundation Butterfly 5k Run/Walk & Fun Run, presented by Orangetheory Fitness of Long Island. We are excited to be coming together in person on Saturday, April 20, 2024 to honor Daniela and other children that have courageously battled childhood cancer.  In addition, we plan to honor pediatric cancer survivors with medals.  This lively and family fun event will have face painters and balloon twisters. You will leave encouraged and inspired to make an impact.  

40,000 children undergo cancer treatment each year. The average age at diagnosis is 5 years old and one in five kids will die. It's the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 15 in the U.S.  Every day, approximately 250 kids around the world die from cancer, accounting for 91,250 losing their lives to the disease every year.

The Butterfly 5k benefits the Daniela Conte Foundation so that we can continue our fight against childhood cancer. It enables the Daniela Conte Foundation to financially continue supporting families with children currently in treatment, provide memorial assistance for families who heartbreakingly have lost a child to cancer, and support innovative pediatric cancer research at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.
