Katia Conte

President & Co-Founder

Katia is Daniela's mom, as well as mom to Daniela's siblings Gemma, Anthony, and Matthew. She and her husband Anthony have been married for over 16 years. Before becoming a mother Katia was an Executive Assistant at Pfizer for 18 years. She resigned from the company in 2015 to become a stay-at-home mom after having twin boys. In October 2016, her family was thrown into the world of pediatric cancer. For 4 years, she was Daniela's caregiver and saw how she endured more toxic treatments than most adult cancer patients. Due to the extreme nature of her treatments, her teeth slowly disintegrated, her hair was gone, and eventually passed away peacefully in March 2020. In her final days her family watched as her fragile body shut down. At age 8, cancer took Daniela from her family, friends, and loved ones.

When she lost Daniela, she didn't give up hope. Katia knew her story wasn't unique and that all cancer families face the same struggles. Her daughter inspired her to create hope by providing direct financial assistance to families who have children with cancer and raise awareness for this horrible disease.

Navigating the hospitals, lending an ear, providing financial assistance; she will do whatever it takes to support these families. It's her own personal experience and her passion for going the extra mile that she believes truly differentiates the Daniela Conte Foundation from other non-profits. Her family is now committed to this foundation as a way to carry on Daniela's legacy.
